The  ARCS club was formed in February 2006 as an all volunteer non-profit amateur radio club whose purpose is to promote the amateur radio art, provide fellowship to newly licensed operators as well as veteran operators, and to provide emergency communications to emergency services and community organizations. The club is located in Paintsville, KY.
In March 2006, the club was granted the call sign of KI4OIP by the FCC, to be used during the clubs communications events, such as field days and other activities. The club became an ARRL affiliated club in June of the same year
Also the club has sponsored  several licensing class and exam session to attract new members to the hobby.. The club plans on having additional licensing classes and exam sessions at least bi-annually each year to further promote the radio art. We have an ARRL VE team and if you are interested in taking a ham radio exam feel free to contact us.

The club is having programs at the monthly meeting to further enhance ones knowledge of amateur radio and electronics.
